It occupies an area of 207,600 square kilometres.
The country is 560 km long from north to south, and it’s 650 km wide from west to east.
It borders on Russian in the east, Latvia in the north, Lithuania in the northwest, Poland in the west and Ukraine in the south.
It has no water borders.
The official languages of the country are Belarusian and Russian.
The landscape is varied. There are hills, forests, rivers, lakes and puschas.
The highest point is Dzyarzhynskaya Gora in Minsk region. It’s 345 metres above the sea level.
The main rivers are the Dnieper, the Neman, the Western Dvina, the Pripyat and the Bug. The largest lake is the Naroch.
