Gomel

 Gomel was founded by a Radimichi tribe.

It appeared on the right bank of the river Sozh.

Historians describe the Radimichi tribe as strong and brave people. They also were kind-hearted, hospitable and generous.

During the period of World War II the city was destroyed.

Today Gomel is an important industrial, scientific and cultural center of the Republic of Belarus.
