Friendship

Friendship plays an important role in our life. We have a lot of acquaintances, a few friends and just one or two best friends. To my mind an acquaintance is someone whose name you know,  who you probably have something in common with and who you feel comfortable with.  But they are people who you don’t share your life with, whose actions sometimes you don’t understand because you don’t know enough about them.

I think a best friend is someone who is always ready to give you a helping hand. Best friends are the people whose pictures you have and whose faces are in your head. Friends are the people you feel safe and secure with, they tell you the truth, and you do the same. 

I have lots of acquaintances, good friends, but one of them is the best. His name is Sasha. I can always rely on him and share my thoughts with him. We spend lots of time together. I simply can’t imagine life without this person.

Sasha is nice and clever. He's got blue eyes, short dark hair and wide forehead. He is quite tall. We get on well and I'm happy we can rely on each other. I think Sasha is easy to deal with and we have a lot in common: we're both crazy about watching good films, surfing the Net and we like good music.

He makes my life brighter and more interesting. When I’m bored, I can always phone my friend and ask him to come over. Sometimes we go to the cinema, sometimes to the theatre or to the museum. For me he is a part of my family. I fully trust my best friend and I know that he would do anything for me. 

I always try to treat my friend with respect and love. Sometimes we fall out because of misunderstandings that appear from time to time. But it takes us a minutes to say sorry. 

I can say that I am a rich person because I have a true friend. The proverb says "They are rich who have true friends".
