Traditions on the Belarusian roads

In Belarus people drive on the right-hand side of the road.

The steering wheel is on the left in our cars.

The accelerator (gas pedal) is on the right.

The gears and almost always the handbrake (parking brake) are operated with the right hand in Belarus.

Most cars in Belarus are with manual gearbox.

All motorists must wear front seat belt.

The minimum age for driving a car in Belarus is 18, and 16 for riding a moped or motorbike.

The National Speed limit on motorways is 120 km/h and on dual carriageways and single carriageway roads it is 90 km/h.
