Roman inventions

1. The Roman Empire fell more than 1,5000 years ago, but its inventions can still be seen today.
2. The Romans were dreat builders and engineers.
3. The Romans liked using fountains, public baths and toilets.
4. The Romans were the first who began building with cement and concrete.
5. Early Roman newspapers were written on metal or stone.
6. People could read news of military victories, lists of gladiatorial fights, facts about births and deaths and some interesting stories.
7. Roman also invented the system of feeding the poor and giving them medical help.
8. The Romans invented socks and shoes, ball and board games, cosmetics, umbrellas, candles, glass for windows, showers and many other different things.
9. Many ancient Roman inventions were forgotten for hundreds of years after the fall of empire.
10. But now we can be sure that Roman inventions will never be forgotten again.
