            1.     Let’s talk about accommodation. Tell me about the house/ flat you live in.

In my view, a man’s home is the reflection of his personality. Houses and flats reflect the way of life and habits of their owners.

My flat reflects characters and tastes of my family. My flat is situated on the third floor and has a good layout. There is a living-room, my parents’ room and my room in our flat. Our flat is nicely furnished and all our rooms look stylish and attractive. We try to keep them clean and neat. I usually help my parents clean the flat at the weekend.

My parents’ room is larger than mine, but my room is my heaven. Everything in it is dear to me, and it gives me the atmosphere of independence and privacy. On the right there is my bed. On the left there is my desk with my computer om it. Here I do my homework, surf the Net, watch films and listen to music.

The Kitchen is next to the bathroom and the toilet. The kitchen is not large, but cozy and light. Our kitchen is filled with all the necessary kitchen gadgets that make the process of cooking easier.

I’m proud to say that my home is the place where everybody understands, respects and loves me. I can say that my home is my castle. Here I feel safe, relaxed and happy.

          2.     Do you want to move into a new house/ flat? Why or why not?

I like the place I live now, but in future I would like to live in a detached house that has all modern conveniences. I want to have more space and privacy. I would also like to have a yard where I can have picnics with my family and friends.

         3.     What questions will you ask your landlord/ landlady about the room you are going to rent?

1.     How much is the rent?

2.     Can I change the decoration in the room?

3.     What’s its biggest advantage?

4.     Are there any disadvantages?

5.     Who pays for the heating?    

          4 .     Your friend wants to decorate his/ her room and make it look more modern. Give him/ her some advice on how to do it.

In my view, a man’s home is the reflection of his personality. If you are an optimist you like warm colours. If you are romantic you can have cushions, carpets, flowers in your room. You can decorate it with romantic pictures and souvenirs. If you like music you can decorate the walls of your room with posters of the celebrities you admire. 

           5.     They say that living in the city is better than living in the country. What do you think about it?

First of all I’d like to say that I want to live in a big city and to have my own house. Life in a big city is full of opportunities of getting good education, a well-paid job and entertainments. But at the same time I want to have some privacy. An ideal house for me is a spacious and comfortable detached house with its own history and character. It will give me a sense of privacy and independence. It shouldn’t be far from the city centre and big supermarkets. So, I want to get both privacy and comfortable city life.
