News agencies in Belarus

The largest news agency in Belarus is the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA), which has a correspondent network in all regions of the country. In Minsk, along with Belarusian news agencies, there are also representative offices of Russian news agencies - TASS, Prime, correspondents of leading world agencies - Reuters, Associated Press.

Electronic media in BelarusAs of April 1, 2021, 164 radio programs and 98 TV programs were broadcast in Belarus. Of these, 27 radio programs and 54 television programs are private.

The high proportion of public radio programs is explained by the fact that most of them are regional radio, with local authorities acting as founders. About 30 radio stations broadcast in the FM range in Belarus, including Radius-FM, Radio Unistar (Belarusian-German media project), Europe Plus and others. The programs of the radio station "Belarus", broadcasting in Belarusian, Russian, English, German, Polish, French, Spanish and Chinese, are intended for foreign audiences interested in events in our country.

The first and only international satellite TV channel in Belarus - "Belarus 24" - which began broadcasting in 2005 ("Belarus TV"), today operates 24 hours a day for 270,000,000 viewers in 100 countries. The content is based on news and analytics about the most important events in the country and the world, interesting TV projects and high-quality film screenings. And, of course, the broadcasting network contains many programs about Belarus: the unique history and culture of the country, main attractions and tourist destinations, Belarusian cuisine, famous brands, outstanding people ...

The channel's signal is retransmitted by three satellites - ABS-2, HotBird А13 and Galaxy 19. Belarus 24 can be watched by viewers in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and North America. Broadcasting is conducted around the clock in Belarusian and Russian. Online broadcasting is organized for Internet users.

More than 200 foreign TV channels, including "Euronews", BBC, "Eurosport", are rebroadcast on the territory of Belarus
