The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (the NAS of Belarus) is the most important state scientific organisation of the Republic of Belarus. It was established in 1929 in Minsk. Some institutions are situated in regional centers of Belarus – Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev and Vitebsk.

The NAS of Belarus is the leading research center in Belarus, which unites highly skilled scientists and dozens of research, scientific, production and engineering organisations. It organises and coordinates fundamental and applied research in the areas of natural and technical sciences, humanities, arts, and social sciences.
