Cinema

 Cinema began at the end of the 19th century. It was invented by the Frenchmen the Lumiere brothers. 

The first films were about ordinary events like arriving of a train. The first films were different from the films today. They were silent and short, sometimes only a few minutes. 

Today's cinema is full of superb colour, fantastic sound and computer effects. In my opinion, cinema is one of the most important and effective forms of art nowadays. It has become the most popular entertainment all over the world. 

I would like to add as well that it doesn't only entertain but educates us and moves out feelings. It takes us to another reality, to another world. Besides, it is international. It unites people of different nationalities and religious. It helps to understand each other much better. Personally I am fond of cinema because it is always different and everyone can find something new especially for himself.

The main advantage I see is that it widens our mental outlook and we somehow begin to notice different sides of fscts and phenomena. It is different all the time and everyone finds something for himself only. The disadvantage which is important for me is that there are feckless films which don't make people think and don't move out emotions. Computer effects, sound and colour shouldn't become primary things instead of ideas and sincere deep feelings.
